Mullaghmore Sailing Centre

When the management of Mullaghmore Sailing Centre planned to develop a new building on their land at Mullaghmore in Co. Sligo, there were some concerns that the proposed new centre would obstruct views and intrude on the landscape of the area.

Installing the system & Varnamo sheet with Geodrain over

Project architects Wendy Lyons & Co came up with a proposal to construct the building into the natural slope in the site and to install a grassed turf layer over the roofs. MacCullagh Waterproofing were called in to design & supervise the installation of the waterproofing system using an approved installation contractor.

Pavement Roof Lights & Completed Project

A vapour barrier, insulation, waterproofing membrane and a water drainage system were installed using the Varnamo sheet and the Geodrain sheet for sub-ground drainage which was taken to 150mm piping fitted underground and to water run-off points. A soil and grassed turf layer was layed over.

In this application the key requirements were met - insulation, waterproofing & water drainage subground to water delivery run-off point.
